Rev Linda

Rev Linda spent her childhood in North Shields a fishing town in the North East of England. In 1977 she moved to Bradford, West Yorkshire to undertake her nurse training, moving to Norfolk in 1995 to work as a Forensic Psychiatric Nurse, continuing her education Linda gained a Bsc hons at the UEA in 2005 eventually becoming the Head of Education & Development for the local Mental Health Trust.

After retirement in 2010 Linda studied at Spurgeon’s Bible College in London for two years and was ordained in August 2013 she now works as Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Martham, Norfolk.

Music has always been important in Linda’s life, her dad was a musician and both her mam and dad loved to dance so music has always been there, from her being in a folk rock band in the 60s to marrying a musician Malcolm in 1978 music has continued to be a big part of her life, she was lead singer in a Christian band for several years until moving to Norfolk, she now mixes the sounds for One Foot in the Groove an informal jazz band that Malcolm her husband plays guitar in.

Linda’s radio experience came following a publication of her book on the infamous Red Barn Murderer, William Corder in 2001. The media interest in this was phenomenal and went international. Stemming from all the radio and television appearances and general media attention, both about the book and her subsequent fight to have Corder’s body returned to the family, came her interest in radio work and she has regularly made guest role appearances on local BBC radio for several years.

Always up for a new challenge and loving her radio work Linda was absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to support husband Malcolm in the development and launch of Faithful Radio.
